SHORT FILM (2022)
A series of background layouts and paintings I did on the short film, Hello Maggie!, based on the book by Shigeru Yabu and Willie Ito. Based on the true story of Shigeru Yabu and his family's experiences as Japanese American internees at Heart Mountain Relocation Center in Wyoming from 1942 to the end of WWII. During that time, he made friends with a magpie whom he named Maggie.
